Society of Women Engineers at UC Davis is proud to present Project Aspire!

One of SWE‘s biggest outreach events is our annual Project Aspire, which will be on Saturday, April 29th, from 9:30 AM – 3 PM (registration is from 9:30 – 10 AM). It is a day filled with interactive group activities geared to introduce 4th-7th grade female students (though male students are welcome too) to engineering. Participants will rotate through various stations that give them the opportunity to interact with our members while engaging in hands-on activities and experiments that focus on different aspects of engineering. Members from SWE will guide the students through each station, explain the science behind each activity, and offer real world applications for such experiments. We encourage parents to attend, and at the end of the day we will hold a Q&A session where parents can ask a panel of students any questions they may have regarding college students’ school lives, academics, resources available at UC Davis, student clubs, etc. We invite everyone to come out and experience a day of interactive STEM education. Sign up here.

Women in STEM Panel

Ready to be inspired? STEMinists from diverse backgrounds and various stages of their careers will talk about their experiences working and studying in the STEM fields. Our panel consists of women who work in both academia and in the industry, and they all have fascinating life stories that lead them to where they are today. There will be a Q&A session at the end, so make sure to bring your questions. See you there!
